Mid-Continent Coding, Inc, provides a variety of compliance review products using our proprietary DIVA™ System software to help your facility meet its compliance and reimbursement needs, improve documentation and data quality and implement coding best practices. Our service offerings include compliance review services for acute inpatient facilities, critical access hospitals, specialty and psychiatric hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers (ASC’s). By understanding the correlation between coded data accuracy and revenue management, Mid-Continent Coding, Inc. is able to assist its clients with recommendations and proposals that generate financial and compliance improvements.

The DIVA™ System software and MCCI Review provisions:
Mid-Continent Coding has released the latest software version of their remote proprietary HIM Coding and Audit software solution, The DIVA™ System (version 2.0). The DIVA™ System (Data, Integrity, Validation, and Accuracy) is truly revolutionary – it can be customized to collect each client’s special data needs, and will allow for immediate reporting at the conclusion of the review with full statistics, graphs, charts and more for the client’s needs.
The DIVA™ System reviews include:
• Detailed Reports (i.e. statistics, financials, coder accuracy tables and charts)
• Comparisons to previous reviews (when available) – database maintained for each client of all reviews for tracking and comparison, future research needs
• Identifies physician documentation issues – in accordance with Official Physician Query Policies as recognized by QIO’s
• Explanations for each DRG/APC recommendation citing Official Coding Guidelines
• Customized reports and statistics created upon client request
• Database records supplied for all records with changes for ease in re-billing
• POA auditing included for Inpatients
• Video Conference (VOIP) Client Review of Final Report & Statistics – custom education sessions available upon request
Contract Coding Services
To assist your facility in maintaining coding production standards and controlling the DNFB during periods of vacation, high census, leave of absence, or other need, Mid-Continent Coding, Inc. also provides coding assistance by credentialed and experienced coding professionals.

Remote Coding Service
Remote coding delivers backlog assistance without scheduling difficulties or travel expense.
Electronic or scanned medical records may be coded remotely using our DIVA™ System for coding – providing all coding and data elements in a secure HIPAA environment
Remote services may be contracted on a regular or occasional, seasonal or “as needed” basis
